A few weeks ago we asked you to vote for your favourite doodle. Now we can announce the winners in each age group.
Congratulations to the winners who have scored an interactive whiteboard for their school and a laptop for themselves. The four will be travelling to Canberra to spend a day at the National Portrait Gallery where they’ll get a behind-the-scenes tour.
Now it’s up to Dennis Hwang, Google’s webmaster and original doodler, to select the national winner whose doodle will be displayed on our homepage for 24 hours.

Renewable Energy for the Future
“The "G's" is solar panels that produce electricity from the sun. The "O's" represent the sun's extreme energy. The "L" represents a satellite important for communicating information. The "E" represents the earth's green environment. I hope people use solar panelled cars to stop poisonous carbon fumes going into our atmosphere.”

Reaching Out
“I decided that I would show two hands reaching out in a sign of ongoing respect.”

My Future Australia
“My Future Australia is creating more National Parks and saving the environment. I want a place to go when the world around me darkens, and the only place I could find refuge in is nature itself, away from man-made environment and people. Sometimes nature is such a good refuge that I escape my own self. The environment saves me, so I am responsible enough to save it.”

My Future Australia
“My Future Australia means a race against time. My doodle portrays the impact of environmental issues not only to Mother Nature, but Australia as a whole. The image challenges the audience on what they perceive as reality and acts as a glimpse into the future of Australia and the world.”
